An horrific Night
On the 1st March, the Jarny city lived a bloody Deardly night: an Earthquake destroyed three quarters of the town.
It was half past 8 three hours, the Jarny, little town near to Metz, was quiet : this little peaceful and hard workingcity had no more light through their windows because its inhabitants were sleeping as usual. Suddenly several more and stronger earth tremors made many deep crevices in the earth where houses disappeaned , families cars of all the neighborhoods some inhabitants, by wonder, succeded to survive in spite of their many horrible injuries because they have been thrown out of their house before it fell down. An inhabitant in tears told us his despair : « I am alone in the world, i would prefer to be dead : my whole family is under the rubble. We are waiting for help, but I have no more hope because, they have been burying for two hours ! » The mesure teams are flooding in from Lorraine and the whole France. A big, solidary spirit is born in the country. A crisis cell takes care of survivors. The President SARKOZY promised financial subsidices to disaster victims.
