Velvet Revolver is an All-Star-Band wich
was created in 2002 after the Californian
Rock'n'Roll band Guns'n'Roses broke up. The band is composed of Slash ( lead guitar ), Dave Kushner ( rhythm guitar ), Matt Sorum ( percussion ), Duff McKagan nicknamed King of Beers ( bass guitar ) and Scott Weiland ( lead vocals ).
Their first album called Contraband came out and was immediatly number one in the American charts .
Their second album, Libertad (Liberty in Spanish ) came out in July 2007 was awarded best Rock album of 2007 by the Guitar World, Magazine.
Scott Weiland was expelled of the band in April 2008 because of his drug probleme. The Band hasn't got a singer for the moment but Slash told the press that the Band will carry on.
At the moment, Slash and Duff are doing their solo projects, Slash is recording an album and Duff is on tour in the USA
